FLUXWERKS

Every block of the planet is simulated — so the factory has to live with heat, fluid and terrain consequences. What we could verify from the store page, the patch notes, the dev's own posts and player reports.

Start with these

FluxWerks is a factory automation game where the planet is genuinely simulated rather than painted onto a flat grid — terrain, the heat in your boilers and the fluids in your pipes all behave physically, and your factory has to live with the consequences. It entered Early Access on Steam on September 23, 2026, developed and published by Metallibitti Oy.

This site only writes down what we can point at: the official store page and feature list, the developer's Steam patch notes, the official screenshots, and the public discussion threads. Where a number has not been confirmed yet, we say so instead of guessing.

What the game actually is

You dig into an infinite destructible voxel world, tame heat and steam, and build factories that stretch to the horizon. The four systems the developer leads with:

  1. An infinite world you can reshape — every block can be mined, excavated or built over: shafts to deep ore veins, canals for cooling water, flattened mountains, tunnels for logistics.
  2. Heat that behaves like heat — temperature is simulated across the world and inside machines. Boilers feed steam turbines, furnaces warm their surroundings, snow melts, water boils away.
  3. Fluids with real flow — water, lava, oil and stranger substances flow, pool and press against your works; fluids react where they meet, lava hardens into rock in cooling channels, hot springs can power an early base.
  4. Weather with teeth — each biome has its own temper.

The three systems that decide everything

Heat is a failure mode you engineer around, not a bar you fill. Waste heat accumulates unless you build exchangers and thermostats — the developer's own wording is that you manage it "before your factory cooks itself." Full detail on Heat & Steam.

Fluids are simulated, so pipe routing is a thermal decision. Route by temperature, not by distance, or lava will harden into rock inside your own cooling channel. See Fluids & Pipes.

Logistics is where the map fights back — belts, tunnels through rock, and drone logistics that were still being improved five days before launch (v0.5.13). See Logistics & Drones.
